Clay is a social table in the heart of Ednc — wood-fired plates, slow-cooked pots, and a room built for lingering over dinner with people you like.
Every bowl, pot and plate at Clay comes from the same wheel it's named after. We work with a small group of Egyptian ceramicists who throw our serviceware by hand, and we cook to match what the clay does best — long, slow, direct heat.
That's the whole idea behind the menu: dishes that are built for a shared table, cooked in vessels that hold their heat long after they leave the kitchen, and a room designed for the kind of dinner that runs late.
Clay seats 90 across a main dining room built around one long communal table, a scatter of smaller tables for two, and a private corner for groups of eight or more.
Shelves along the back wall hold the same handmade pieces your food arrives on — most are for sale, so if a bowl catches your eye, ask your server.
